OUR BELIEFS

  • Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God (Colossians 1:15-23). He came to earth in the incarnation (John 1:1, 14) through the Virgin Birth (Matthew 1:23), and He is God (John 10:33). He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:14-16), died on the cross in our place (II Corinthians 5:11-21), and rose again to prove His victory and to give us power for living (I Corinthians 15). We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

  • We believe in one eternal God (I Timothy 1:17) who is the Creator of all things (Isaiah 40:28). He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14).

  • We believe the Bible is God’s Word. We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, was verbally inspired of God, is inerrant, accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our daily lives. It guides us in matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).

  • We believe in creation, not evolution (Genesis 1); that man was created by the direct act of God and in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27).

  • We believe that Adam and Eve, in yielding to the temptation of Satan, became fallen creatures (Genesis 3). We believe that all men are born in sin. We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purposes for our lives. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-12; Ephesians 2:8-10).

  • We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, plus nothing, minus nothing, in the atoning blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives (John 3:16-21).

  • We believe in the power and significance of the church (Ephesians 3:7-13) and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together (Hebrews 10:24-25). We also believe it is important for believers to promote unity and harmony in Christ as a testimony to the world (Ephesians 4:1-6; John 17:20-23; Galatians 3:26-28).
